Futsal

Loughborough Students Futsal Club are one of the leading student futsal clubs in the country. The club offers playing opportunities for students of all abilities, from competing in the National Futsal Series to recreational futsal.

Athletic Union Club

Loughborough Students Futsal Club is the most successful university Futsal club in the UK, having won the national title a record six times.

The club is comprised of five BUCS teams spanning the top divisions and two teams competing in the National Futsal Series. Our performance team competes in the top tier of English futsal, with the league winner going to the UEFA Futsal Champions League, and our development team competes in the second tier.

Futsal is a growing indoor sport in England that is similar to and different from football. The 5v5 game, with a stop-clock format, means more general involvement from all players, a greater tactical and technical emphasis, and higher numbers of shots and goals compared to the 11-a-side game.

Training frequency

Training sessions are led by a mix of paid and volunteer-qualified coaches.

Teams will train 2-3 times a week at Netball Center, Sir David Wallace & college sports halls.

Matches are played on Sundays.
