Dr Qilin Hu is a Lecturer (Assistant Professor) in International Business, Strategy and Innovation, and the MSc Management Programme Leader at Loughborough Business School. After completing his PhD at Durham University Business School, Dr Hu has developed a profound expertise in family business dynamics, including socioemotional wealth (SEW), family emotions, family resources, and innovation. His broader research interests also encompass green human resource management (GHRM), Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), environmental, social, and governance (ESG) strategies, and leadership. Dr Hu is also a Fellow of the UK Higher Education Academy and holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Academic Practice.

Research and publications

Dr Hu's scholarly work is highly regarded, with publications in leading academic journals such as the Asia Pacific Journal of Management, International Journal of Entrepreneurial Behavior & Research, R&D Management, Long Range Planning, and Journal of Business Research. He is a respected member of the editorial review board for the International Journal of Entrepreneurial Behavior & Research. He also serves as a guest editor for some academic journals and as an ad-hoc reviewer for various prominent journals, including the International Journal of Human Resource Management, International Business Review, and British Accounting Review.
